Resumption of Speedpost service to Canada
As advised by the postal administration of Canada, Canada Post has resumed the acceptance of mail items to Canada, as the previous postal workers‘ strike has moved from a full national strike to rotating strikes.
Hongkong Post will resume all postal services, including Speedpost services, to Canada on October 15.
However, mail delivery services to Canada are subject to delays and occasional service interruptions due to mail backlogs and the rotating strikes.

Suspension of Speedpost services to Canada
The postal administration of Canada requested to stop sending all mail items to Canada due to postal workers' strike. Hongkong Post has suspended all postal services to Canada including Speedpost services with immediate effect until further notice. Mail items that have already arrived in Canada are also subject to delay.
Hongkong Post will continue to maintain close communication with the postal administration of Canada for resumption of services as soon as possible.

Submit electronic customs declaration
To speed up the customs clearance process, senders are encouraged to submit electronic customs declaration when sending both documents and goods to all destinations.

No Posting of Dangerous Articles
Recently, many customers have made enquiries about arrangements for the posting of alcohol-based hand rubs, disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray and other disinfectants. Please note that items containing alcohol are regarded as dangerous goods which will not be able to pass security check and thus cannot be posted. Mail item of such will be returned to the sender and the fees paid will not be refunded. Please refer to No Posting of Dangerous Articles webpage for details.
