Owing to insufficient air traffic capacity provided by airlines, it may take extra time of around 1 week in waiting for air allotment to convey Speedpost items to the Mainland, Indonesia, Singapore, Canada, United States of America and Australia, and it may take extra time of around 2 weeks in waiting for air allotment to convey Speedpost items to United Kingdom (for mail items posted before service suspension), even though Hongkong Post has completed the handling procedures after posting. In addition, local postal operations at the destinations are still under the influence of the pandemic and delays in mail delivery are expected.
